I currently work 30 hours a week, am married, and have two kids, one school age, one less than a year old. My husband want one more child but with that, we figured I would need to stay at home to save on daycare costs; my salary would equal the cost of two children in daycare, about $2000 a month. How do I find a credible work from home job and not just one of those internet scams?

Good question. I'm going to piggy back and ask if any one knows how to get into transcribing.

I would say the first thing to do is proceed with caution. Most of them are scams, or they get you to pay for the schooling and then you find it is close to impossible to get a job.

I would say, look for established companies. Many of the larger companies do at home customer service. You usually have to live within a certain radius of their head quarters. ConAgra was one that used to do this (don't know if they still do).

There are some sites that specialize in virtual jobs (http://www.flexjobs.com/), but from my experience they tend to be full time that you can do anywhere.

You could start your own as long as the costs are low. Think blog, tutoring, cleaning service.

Most important if your gut says this is too good to be true - run!
